2008 Republican National Convention Logo

The Republicans just revealed their logo for the 2008 national convention.

Keith Olbermann’s comments:
1. The elephant has racing stripes.
2. The color associated with the Republican Party is RED. This elephant is BLUE.
3. The elephant is rearing up. Elephants only do that when they have sex. The convention is being held about seven miles from the airport where Larry Craig was arrested for soliciting sex in a bathroom.

Racing stripes? Those are prison stripes.

Speaking of mounting something, isn’t that elephant starry eyed? And look at that wide stance! Racing stripes or prison stripes?

  3. Don Marsh says:

Perhaps the stripes are a prison uniform. It would seem appropriate.

Dems are only marginally better. We need a third party!

  5. JB says:

The elephant has 3 stripes. Adidas should sue for copyright infringement.

  6. Dan D. says:

Actually, traditionally blue was associated more with Republicans and red with Democrats. It only went the other way in the 2000 elections when all the networks used the same colors for the candidates. Previously they were not coordinated.

  7. embryodb says:

    Progressive party!
    Cacophonous party!

  8. Kevin L says:

a blue republican party? Isn’t that cross dressing? A cross dressing elephant trying to mount the year 2008? Exciting times ahead!
