Chairman Mao built a whole city underground, beneath Beijing. Large enough to shelter 6 million residents after a nuclear attack. It would have stores, bedrooms, apparently even a rollerskating rink. Now a lot of tunnel has been converted to subway, but these brave souls from Viceland.com bribed a local to take them on a tour of the underground. Pretty wild, check it out.
