AOL Search Data

As I’m sure most of you are well aware, AOL released the search data of 500,000 subscribers to the public. What the hell is their problem? This investigative report from The New York Times actually tracked a woman down based on her searches and interviewed her. Even though the screennames were masked by numbers, it doesn’t help people’s privacy who are searching for specific thinks that can be tracked back to them. Data miners have some powerful tools at their disposal, like this search engine that was built to sift through the data.
