This is so crazy, in the USA, Pizza Hut cheese is made of salt, water, starch, and Polymethylsiloxane. What is that last one you ask? Oh don’t mind that, it’s just a silicon chemical made by Dow Industrials designed for the formulation of plant food. But it surely safe for humans right? Well no regulations exist for human consumption, but the amount Pizza Hut uses is 10 times higher concentration than the maximum allowable for plants!! Here’s more

“Wow Pete Hardin disgusts me more than ever.
First of all, just because polydimethylsiloxane is a silicon derivative does NOT mean that it shares ANY common attributes with silicon itself. Asprin, for example, has a benzene ring in it and yet there are no tabloid-style articles proclaiming that asprin contains benzene and we will all get cancer and die. The fact is that benzene is a functional group and silicon is an ATOM. Just because silicon is in fake breasts doesn’t mean you can’t eat it. One could just as easily say that oxygen is in cocaine and so it should be illegal to breathe.
Second, following proof that this OUTRAGEOUS SILICON CHEESE is actually LEGAL, Pete still will not drop his bad chemistry and tabloid call-to-action nonsense. He continues with proof from a paper about how polydimethylsiloxane may degrade formaldehyde with temperature. If you wikipedia formaldehyde, you will notice that it is a GAS at room temperature. When it is only formed, as Pete so aptly states, at around 400 degrees F from polydimethylsiloxane, do you think it will stick around long enough for you to get cancer from your pizza cheese?
I don’t know what this company did to upset Pete, but do yourself a favor and think before you take him seriously. Let’s not be redditors and think OH A CONSPIRACY and then not think for ourselves before we jump on this bandwagon. And you wonder why so many Americans don’t believe in evolution when an idiot like Pete Hardin can actually fool redditors into upmodding him.”
