New York Magazine reports that if it takes too long to receive your movies from netflix, there’s a chance it’s because you’re mailman is bogarting the flix en route.
Because the movies come in such a flashy bright red envelope, it is very easy for them to be plucked from the mail before they reach your mailbox. Evidently they have already caught several mailmen requisitioning disks. One was outright stealing them, postal police found 87 disks in his car; but another was watching the movie and then sending it on to the recipient. That’s the one I find most entertaining.
I know on several occasions my netflix have disappeared en route, and other times have arrived ripped open, maybe my mail lady has a little portable dvd player in her van, because usually they come on time even though they’re ripped open.
